Save the Children Head - Transformation Project Jobs in Kenya;We are seeking a Head – Transformation Project to lead large‑scale global transformation initiatives, manage governance and stakeholder engagement, oversee project planning and reporting, and ensure delivery of future operating models that integrate people, processes, data, and technology.
Responsibilities
Provide project leadership including direct and indirect management of team members and accountability to the CTO and TSG on delivery
Define, implement, and manage governance and engagement with senior leaders
Set up and manage reference groups, design authorities, and a Management Review Group (MRG) for project decision‑making
Ensure alignment with standard Project and Change Methodologies and portfolio management requirements
Define and monitor ongoing management of the project budget, ensuring compliance and timely escalation of issues
Lead detailed definition of the future operating model and actions required to achieve change across people, processes, data, and technology
Evaluate and embed AI or technology solutions sustainably and in alignment with programme delivery needs
Work effectively with wider initiatives and functions to ensure dependencies are understood and actively managed
Take a hands‑on role in problem‑solving, identifying issues, managing resolutions, and reporting impacts to governance
Experience and Skills – Essential
Considerable experience in leadership, management, and deployment of large global transformation projects within SCI or equivalent organisations
Demonstrated accountability for issue resolution and capacity building to empower others in problem‑solving
Experience leading setup of large‑scale global transformation initiatives
including recruitment, governance setup, and functional alignment
Familiarity with industry project (agile and waterfall) and change management standards, with evidence of formal training
Experience leading engagement with senior leaders up to Board level and partnering across multiple functions
Ability to resolve complex project issues with pragmatism and rigour, leading others to deliver interventions
Extensive line management experience including leading multi‑layered teams and coaching in project management and change management
Proven ability to operate successfully within a matrix organisation structure
Operational expertise working with digital technologies in transformation contexts, including AI applications and technology solutions
Experience and Skills – Desirable
Non‑profit sector knowledge/experience
Proficiency in a second core language of Save the Children (French, Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic)
Education and Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
External Project and/or Change Management accreditation
