Role Purpose:

The position holder will be responsible for coordinating the M&E activities of emergency nutrition responses in five Woreda of East Wellega zone. S/He will ensure all data related to the projects are entered and analysed to inform and guide project implementation status in regular base.

He/she will implement CMAM reporting tool functions and generate continuous evidences to ensure that the project deliver operates at high quality to beneficiaries and donors and learning is institutionalized for program improvements and will be reporting to the project manager.

Key Areas of Accountability:

  • Ensures all the required data related to CMAM captured using database.

  • Reviews officers.

  • Supports data management of emergency nutrition projects implementation sites in a regular and supportive way.

  • Conducts regular field visits to strengthen the data management at Woreda level.

  • Analyses the data on a regular basis using standard nutrition database.

  • Provides timely information and report to project manager and national indicators to inform the project implementation.

  • Coordinates with CMAM team as appropriate to update the national indicators.

  • Develop and implement a work plan for rolling out the MEAL system at program

  • Provide technical support to Project staffs on developing and implementing M&E plans.

  • Support project staff to collect good quality monitoring data in a timely manner and collate / organize data received for reporting to the country office and field office.

  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building for project staff and partners’ staff on development and use of MEAL tools and methodologies.

  • Ensure that regular reports are generated from monitoring data and that findings are communicated effectively to appropriate persons and units.

  • Performs other related tasks as required.

  • Conduct qualitative M&E (against international standards through participatory methodologies (including child-friendly methodologies).

  • Provide trainings and capacity building for field level team on CMAM reporting tool as required

  • Participate in facilitation of training to field team. the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of data reported from Woreda Health and CMAM

    Reporting

  • Ensure monthly reporting systems are implemented in the satellite office.

    Child safeguarding (CSG)

  • Conduct
    activities in accordance with the rules of the Child Safeguarding Policy, which includes reporting suspicions of child abuse,

  • Ensure that all activities seen through a child safeguarding lens;

  • Be vigilant about observing possible child abuse/harm,

  • Ensure all partners and beneficiaries of Save the Children are aware of the child safeguarding policy and promote the message of child safeguarding to children, beneficiary families, and community members in general,

  • Conduct project risk assessment using given template and mitigation plans are addressed Report performance of child safeguarding activities per quarter,

    Job Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • BSc/BA degree in an area of statistics, economics, health, social development or equivalent.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in CMAM Reporting/M & E role of emergency nutrition and WASH interventions

  • Direct experience of implementing and managing M&E function and of working on all aspects of M & E activities

  • Skills on developing M & E tools and use of statistical packages

  • Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward

  • Have good knowledge of local language is mandatory.

  • Have an experience of CMAM Software reporting system.
