Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in social work, public policy, international development, or related field; Masters degree preferred

  • Fluency in English (C1 level), Ukrainian, and Russian, both verbal and written

  • Commitment to Save the Children values

    Experience and Skills

    Essential

  • 5 years relevant professional experience, including minimum 1 year of experience in a management role

  • Experience programming in at least one of the UPC technical sectors: protection, shelter, WASH, cash assistance

  • Experience working with international NGOs in Ukraine

  • Demonstrable success delivering projects on time and on budget, using project management processes and tools including risk management, benefits management, financial management and quality assurance

  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to influence others without authority

  • Excellent analytical and creative thinking skills to identify proactive solutions to complex challenges

  • Ability to travel to southern and eastern regions of Ukraine for business purposes

  • Demonstrable success in self-directed and results-driven initiatives with a strong focus on supporting others

  • Demonstrable success in handling multiple competing priorities and working well within tight timelines

  • Ability to write and present complex data analysis,
    interpretation, and trends in a compelling manner for a variety of audiences

    Desirable

  • Experience managing BHA-funded programming

  • Experience managing large multi sector grants
