Savanna Fibre Uganda Chief Commercial Officer Jobs ;The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) leads Savanna PayPulse Limited’s commercial strategy, revenue growth, customer acquisition, distribution, agent and merchant network development, partnerships, and market expansion. The role ensures sustainable growth across SavMoney and other approved digital financial services in line with regulatory requirements, customer protection standards, internal policies, and the Company’s risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement commercial strategy and growth plan.

  • Establish revenue, customer acquisition, transaction volume, and market‑share targets.

  • Identify new opportunities, customer segments, and distribution channels.

  • Provide commercial leadership to sales and business‑development teams.

  • Monitor market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity.

    Customer Acquisition & Growth

  • Lead strategies for customer acquisition and retention.

  • Drive activation, usage, and transaction frequency.

  • Develop customer segmentation and targeted strategies.

  • Monitor acquisition costs, lifetime value, and performance.

    Agent & Merchant Network Development

  • Develop and execute agent and merchant network strategy.

  • Set acquisition, activation, productivity, and retention targets.

  • Identify strategic locations for expansion.

  • Monitor agent/merchant performance and recommend corrective action.

    Partnerships & Market Expansion

  • Develop partnership proposals and business cases.

  • Monitor performance of strategic partnerships.

  • Identify opportunities for integrations and embedded payment solutions.

    Products, Pricing & Revenue

  • Collaborate with Product, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Risk teams.

  • Develop pricing and revenue strategies.

  • Monitor product profitability and transaction economics.

  • Recommend pricing adjustments and commercial initiatives.

    Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis.

  • Benchmark products, pricing, and distribution against market.

  • Provide recommendations on positioning and growth opportunities.

    Commercial Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with
    laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Work with Risk & Compliance on acquisition, promotions, and sales practices.

  • Ensure controls to prevent mis‑selling and inappropriate practices.

  • Enforce KYC, AML/CFT, consumer protection, and product requirements.

    Commercial Reporting

  • Establish dashboards and performance reports.

  • Report growth, transaction volumes, revenue, and market development.

  • Monitor performance against budgets and targets.

  • Provide forecasts and business‑development reports.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or related field.

  • Master’s degree desirable.

    Professional Qualifications (Desirable)

  • Chartered Institute of Marketing or equivalent.

  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.

  • Certified Payments Professional or fintech qualification.

  • Digital marketing, sales, or business‑development certification.

    Experience

  • 8–10 years’ commercial, sales, or business‑development experience.

  • Minimum 5 years in senior commercial leadership.

  • Experience in fintech, mobile money, telecoms, banking, payments, or financial services.

  • Proven track record growing digital financial services.

  • Strong experience managing agent, merchant, or distribution networks.

  • Experience negotiating strategic partnerships and agreements.

  • Experience in regulated financial or telecoms environments highly desirable.
