  • Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) is established under the Sacco Societies Act, CAP 490B with a mandate to license, regulate and supervise the Sacco Sector in Kenya. SASRA is seeking results oriented, selfdriven individuals with high integrity to fill the following vacant positions. Suitable candidates shall be employed on permanent and pensionable terms of service within Nairobi. The jobs may entail travelling
    outside the duty station.

    Role Summary

  • To complete clerical and administrative tasks for the office in order to keep the operations running smoothly in compliance with Authority’s policy.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Opening the office in the morning, locking up in the evening and carrying out security checks

  • Keeping all keys secure, recording issue and returning of keys as well as maintaining a check on designated keys borrowed by staff to ensure they are returned and secured

  • Cleaning, washing, dusting and polishing offices, furniture, office equipment, windows, hallways and lavatories and wash curtains as well replenish toiletries when necessary

  • Attending to spillages and leaks, collect trash and disposing garbage as appropriate

  • Changing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes as well as take steps to conserve energy by ensuring all unnecessary lights are turned off.

  • Identifying problems requiring correction, such as light bulb replacement, lock adjustment, carpet repair, broken glass, holes in walls, ceiling tile replacement, tripping hazards, termites, etc.

  • Positioning and setting up tables and chairs in offices, meeting room and auditoriums.

  • Packing office equipment, documents and furniture
    to be moved or transported from one place to another. In addition, loading and unloading goods from motor vehicles to designated offices.

  • Delivering and collecting messages, letters, documents, packages and other items to and from
    designated offices or business premises.

  • Photocopying document, distributing and circulating memos and materials. In addition, filing documents in shelves for rapid retrieval as required.

  • Preparing and providing office refreshments, cleaning utensils and kitchen facilities as well as maintaining equipment and machinery and ensuring they are in good working condition.

  • Storing cleaning solutions and toiletries as well as maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working order.

  • Paying bills, registering letters for postage, obtaining receipts or making payment for articles delivered and maintaining a log of items delivered or received on a daily basis.

    Job Specifications:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education ('O' Level) Grade D Plain.

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

  • Additional skills will be an added advantage.
