  • This role reports to the HR Consultant Administration.

    The main responsibilities of this job are:

  • Coordinate the administration of benefit funds, for Mill (i.e., retirements/deaths/withdrawals and disabilities).
  • Coordinate administration involving the sign-on/transfer/promotions/termination of permanent and temporary staff/hired labour as per policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate and prepare Mill annual increases by compiling of non-bargaining unit increases distribution HOD’s and consolidation and prepare Mill bonus spreadsheet for finance department, verification of MIS spreadsheet.
  • Administration of employee benefits (i.e., Funeral Benefit / Medical Aid Schemes / Travel Allowance / Long Service Reward System etc.).
  • Coordinate quarterly payment of boarding fees as per invoice from school and within budget. Process all boarding school changes and deductions to payroll.
  • Coordinate quality control assurance monthly audits on time management/administration/boarding fees/cellphone allowance/temp employees/disabilities
  • Coordinate all payroll input scanning to SS payroll for capturing in line with payroll cut-off dates.
  • Coordinate tool allowance applications and deductions to payroll and acting allowances calculations
  • Coordinate the maintenance of position numbers/organigrams/structures and updates of all control manpower movement through SAP PD, Org management and personnel admin data. Upload of manpower budget SAP PD.
  • Compile SAP reports and month-end statistics for
    Mill.
  • Compile achievement awards letters and process payments to payroll. Annual ordering of long service awards tokens within budget.
  • Administer a central filing system, IMS system Index, HR forms and DMS filing of payroll input.
  • Assist with the administration on community services-related matters.
  • Coordinate compiling of disability forms as per fund rules.
  • Provide an aftercare service to widows and pensioners.
  • Provide a front desk service to all employees.
  • Provide support to the HR consultant operations.
  • Maintain job evaluation database.
  • Printing and sealing of pay slips

    The ideal candidate should have:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant NQFL 5 Human Resources qualification
  • One to three years’ experience in HR administration
