Samaritan's Purse Roving Response Operations Manager Jobs in South Sudan; Coordinate and oversee day‑to‑day disaster response operations, including rapid assessments, emergency team deployment, contingency planning, and implementation of emergency interventions. Ensure quality and accountable humanitarian activities in line with Sphere Standards, CHS commitments, organizational policies, and safeguarding principles. Provide leadership and operational guidance to field teams while maintaining the organization’s mission to serve people in Jesus’ name.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Coordinate and oversee disaster response operations, including assessments, deployments, and contingency planning.

Ensure timely implementation of emergency interventions within approved plans, budgets, and timelines.

Monitor and support field operations through site visits, operational planning, beneficiary targeting, and distribution oversight.

Quality & Accountability

Ensure humanitarian activities meet Sphere Standards, CHS commitments, and organizational policies.

Uphold protection, gender, safeguarding, and accountability principles.

Coordination & Logistics

Work closely with logistics, procurement, fleet, warehouse, administration, and support departments.

Ensure timely procurement, delivery, and management of emergency supplies, assets, and resources.

Staff Supervision & Support

Supervise, mentor, and support emergency response staff and field teams.

Provide coaching, performance management, onboarding, and staff care.

Ensure compliance with organizational values, security procedures, and safeguarding standards.

Representation & Collaboration

Represent Samaritan’s Purse in coordination forums.

Collaborate with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, clusters,

churches, community leaders, and humanitarian stakeholders.

Other Duties

Serve as an effective witness for Jesus Christ in word and deed.

Carry out additional assignments as required.

Requirements for Appointment

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster Management, Humanitarian Assistance, International Development, Public Health, Logistics, Project Management, or related field.

Master’s Degree is an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in humanitarian emergency response or disaster operations.

Demonstrated experience managing field operations in fragile, conflict‑affected, or disaster‑prone environments.

Faith Requirement

12 credit hours of college‑level Biblical Studies (required).

If not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire.
