Samaritan's Purse Commodity Manager Jobs in South Sudan; Plan, receive, store, handle, track, allocate, and distribute all program commodities under the Roving Response Program. Ensure effective and accountable management of relief items including food, NFIs, shelter materials, and other emergency supplies in line with donor regulations, organizational policies, and humanitarian standards. Provide leadership in commodity pipeline management, warehouse operations, distribution planning, inventory control, and reporting to ensure timely and efficient delivery of humanitarian assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Commodity & Supply Chain Management
Oversee planning, receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of program commodities.
Ensure effective pipeline management and accountability of relief items.
Manage warehouse operations and inventory control systems.
Plan and coordinate emergency distributions in compliance with donor regulations.
Leadership & Supervision
Directly supervise four (4) non‑supervisory employees.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline in accordance with Samaritan’s Purse policies.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, donor requirements, and humanitarian standards.
Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of commodities.
Provide timely updates on pipeline status and distribution outcomes.
Other Duties
Serve as an effective witness for Jesus Christ in word and deed.
Carry out additional assignments as required.
Requirements for Appointment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in
Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in supply chain, logistics, or commodity management.
Experience managing large‑scale commodity pipelines, emergency distributions, and warehouse operations.
Prior experience with INGOs, faith‑based organizations, or UN agencies highly desirable.
Experience in South Sudan or similar humanitarian contexts is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Strong supply chain and commodity management skills.
Excellent warehouse and inventory control expertise.
Experience in emergency response logistics and distributions.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
