Job Description

The General Manager oversees the executive function of the Organization outright. He/she holds on direct oversight power in managing the overall actives of the company and well as the various debarments with in the Center.

Key Responsibilities and KPIs

  • The manager shall have full power to manage and direct the company.

  • The manager is obliged to conduct the affairs of the company with care, diligence, and good faith.

  • He/she shall, have the power to perform the following: sell, pledge or mortgage assets of the company.

  • Borrow money with our without guarantee.

  • Sign contracts, agreements, and any other document with third parties.

  • Invest in the name of the company.

  • Settle cases at court.

  • Represent the company in all relations with third parties.

  • Appoint a power of attorney who can act on his behalf representing the company.

  • Appoint an attorney to represent the company in court or other government or nongovernment offices related to legal matters.

  • Sing annual reports, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, correspondence, and other documents in the company.

  • Open, operate and close bank accounts as required.

  • Issues internal rules and regulations to administer the staff and resource.

  • Take initiatives which helps generate income for the Organization.

  • Issues and approves standard operating procedures (SOPs)that aids efficient running of the companies’ various departments.

  • Approve hiring and dismissal of staff members who fails to carry out their responsibilities.

  • Design and implement strategies to obtain support in-cash or in-kind to implement the objectives of the Organization.

  • Sign and approve contractual agreements representing the Organization.

  • Documents financial statements; insurance; risk and safety management; operating and capital budgeting; payments; administrative information systems, supply management chain; and audit.

  • Represent the Organization before any governmental and non-governmental organizations.

  • Plan, organize and
    coordinate all activities of finance, procurement, property administration, human resource, and educational services.

  • Oversees the preparation, management and monitoring of the Organization’s financial statements.

  • Presents annual budget for the Board.

  • Take the lead to design and implement an automated system for all activities performed under his/her premises so as to ensure an effective and efficient service delivery in all areas of the Organization.

  • Ensures institutional, financial and human resource reporting capabilities that provide timely and relevant information for management decision-making across the organization.

  • Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications

  • A minimum of MA/MSC degree in Management/Public Administration and related field of discipline.

    Experience

  • For MA/MSC holder, more than 10 years of experience in higher education

  • For BA/BSC holder, 15 years and above of experience in similar capacities

    Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Extensive financial and budget management experience is required, experience in healthcare or related institutions.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills and unquestioned integrity.

  • Superior organization and strong leadership skills.

  • Strong strategic planning abilities are required.

  • Evidence of an appreciation for the importance of diversity is essential.
