Safaricom Kenya Programme Analyst – Digital Health Systems & Deployment Jobs;Reporting to the Manager, Foundations Programmes, this role supports the successful development, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of the Uzazi Salama digital health platform.
The role provides technical coordination, vendor oversight, implementation support, and programme delivery assistance. It serves as the day‑to‑day link between Safaricom Foundation, implementing partners, county health teams, users, and technology vendors such as Savannah Informatics.
Responsibilities
Uzazi Salama Application Development Oversight
Act as focal point for application development activities
Monitor vendor performance against workplans and deliverables
Review enhancement requests and coordinate feature prioritization
Track software sprints and milestones
Coordinate testing, bug tracking, and issue resolution
Escalate critical technical issues and risks
Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing
Maintain documentation of system changes and releases
County Deployment & Rollout Support
Coordinate deployment across counties
Support onboarding of health facilities, county health teams, and CHPs
Organize training schedules and user support activities
Monitor rollout progress and adoption metrics
Provide on‑site and remote support during deployments
Address operational challenges with county stakeholders
Integrate digital workflows into maternal and child health programmes
Technical Coordination & Vendor Management
Manage day‑to‑day engagement with Savannah Informatics and service providers
Track vendor performance against SLAs and contracts
Participate in technical review meetings and document actions
Coordinate resolution of defects, downtime, and support requests
Validate technical reports and updates from vendors
Monitoring, Learning & Reporting
Track system usage indicators and adoption trends
Monitor uptime, defects, feedback, and resolution timelines
Prepare progress reports and dashboards
Generate insights from platform performance data
Document lessons learned and best practices
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
Support coordination between Safaricom Foundation, M‑Pesa Foundation, county governments, and
technology partners
Participate in technical and programme review meetings
Facilitate communication between business, programme, and technical stakeholders
Track commitments and action points
General Programme Support
Support broader Health Pillar initiatives
Assist in planning, monitoring, and reporting of health programmes
Support field visits, stakeholder engagements, and programme launches
Contribute to grant tracking and partner performance reviews
Health & Safety
Uphold company code of conduct, integrity, and accountability
Adhere to safety, health, and wellbeing policies and procedures
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, IT, Software Engineering, Digital Health, or Public Health with ICT background
Experience
3–5 years in digital health, health informatics, software project management, or technology‑enabled programmes
Experience with software vendors and technology partners
Experience supporting digital solution deployment in public‑sector or health‑sector environments
Experience with county governments or health programmes an advantage
