Safaricom Kenya Manager, Fintech and Cyber Audit Jobs; The Manager, Fintech & Cyber Audit will lead risk‑based audit and technical security testing engagements covering technology and cyber risks across the Financial Services ecosystem. The role ensures compliance with global internal audit standards, strengthens cyber resilience, and supports strategic initiatives across fintech platforms, payment systems, and digital financial services.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Uphold company code of conduct, policies, and procedures with integrity and accountability.
Adhere to safety, health, and wellbeing policies in all actions and decisions.
Risk‑Based Fintech & Cyber Audit
Develop and execute risk‑based audit and technical security testing engagements.
Conduct technology audit assignments including VAPT engagements from planning to remediation validation.
Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of technology controls supporting critical business processes.
Assess application controls, system configurations, authentication, authorisation, transaction integrity, and data protection.
Perform data‑driven audits using analytics, automation, and continuous auditing techniques.
Deliver clear assurance reports with practical, risk‑based recommendations.
Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing
Plan and execute vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across applications, APIs, networks, and cloud environments.
Apply automated and manual testing techniques to identify and validate vulnerabilities.
Assess fintech and payment journeys including customer‑facing services and third‑party integrations.
Deliver detailed VAPT reports and escalate critical vulnerabilities.
Regulatory & Industry Compliance
Assess compliance with data protection, cybersecurity regulations, and industry frameworks.
Evaluate controls over cloud providers, vendors, fintech partners, and outsourced services.
Assess fraud prevention, detection, and monitoring controls.
Support continuous improvement of fintech and cyber control maturity.
Strategic Initiatives & Advisory
Conduct risk‑based technical security reviews for new systems and products.
Support cloud migration programmes
and digital transformation initiatives.
Monitor emerging technology and cyber risks affecting financial services.
Contribute to AI‑enabled continuous assurance models using advanced analytics.
Stakeholder Management & Audit Follow‑Up
Build strong relationships with Financial Services leadership teams.
Provide advisory insights to strengthen fintech controls and business performance.
Track and validate closure of audit findings.
Communicate complex technology risks clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of six (6) years’ relevant experience in Internal Audit, Technology Risk, IT Audit, Cybersecurity, or technical security testing.
Hands‑on experience in vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.
Experience auditing fintech platforms, payment systems, APIs, networks, and cloud environments.
Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH, OSCP preferred.
Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are an added advantage.
Strong analytical, stakeholder‑management, and report‑writing skills.
