Safaricom Data Scientist Jobs in Kenya

We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Digital I.T Department within the Technology Division.

In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Reporting to the Manager – Data Analytics, the position holder will analyze data for actionable insights.

Responsibilities

Work in a multi-disciplined team and take ownership of turning ideas into machine learning models;

Produce products or improve existing products with short turnaround times and
Solid development and analytical approaches to create viable implementations.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science or related technical field

At least 2 years of practical experience as a data scientist;

Strong experience with machine learning and predictive analytics;

Strong communications and interpersonal skills and quick grasps to understand business problems;

Proficient in at least Python and R;
Practical experience with big data technologies and

Expert in machine learning techniques with practical experience.
