Responsibilities

  • To schedule, coordinate and control production process and activities efficiently in line with our budget to meet business objectives.
  • Implement operational strategies to achieve our goals and provide technical support to the production teams.
  • In charge of overall production and quality management in the production lines
  • Set and meet production targets as per business plans by complying to quality and cost
  • Ensure the production is at optimal levels and institute corrective actions to eliminate deficiencies
  • Implement best practices in engineering in order to optimize operations
  • Ensure consumption control of consumables as per budget targets
  • Manpower management by ensuring discipline across the shop floor and reduction of avoidable manpower costs
  • Responsible for maintenance of production equipment through the maintenance function structure
  • Drive EHS compliance in the assigned area of control in line with the company guidelines in place

    Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical, Production or Mechatronic Engineering aged between 38 - 45 years.
  • Must have worked in a busy production operation supervising a team of 80-120 employees.

    Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager Overall Purpose of the Position To ensure effective Maintenance of plant equipment and machinery, to improve overall plant performance in line with the management approved guidelines.
  • Implement the overall mechanical works strategy for the mechanical maintenance
  • Identify gaps in the mechanical processes and implement strategies to close gaps, improve equipment reliability, sustainability and reduce maintenance costs
  • Implement and manage projets to
    improve equipment and safety performance, sustainabilty to reduce cost
  • Ensure that all mechanical equipment is installed and functional to support production in achieving their production targets
  • Scheduling and assigning work to meet maintenance completion dates, undertake effective planning and prioritization of workload whenever necessary
  • Analyse all machine failures and implement corrective measures to prevent re-occurence of failures and safety incidents Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when required in line with the agreed format
  • Supervise and review activities of staff under your supervision and provide technical support
  • Inspection of work performed by external contractors to ensure it meets management expectations as per the scope of the work assigned
  • Ensure EHS compliance as per our company policies and in compliance with the law

    Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering plant option aged between 35 - 40 years with a minimum of 8 years experience in similar position in a busy manufacturing company
