Sacco Front Office Service Activity Jobs in Kenya

To plan, organize and coordinate the Front Office Service Activity (FOSA) and ensure the provision of efficient and economic operations are delivered to members.



Key Responsibilities


Leadership.

  • Lead the FOSA section team members to deliver all planned and agreed section and individual performance targets to ensure that the section is efficient and value adding to the Society.
  • Coordinate and supervise the day to day running of the section to ensure effective and efficient transactions.
  • Advise the Head of Operations on the lending policies and on how best to implement them to meet demand and the financial status of the Society.

    FOSA Management

  • Provide day-to-day Management and smooth running of the credit and savings activities of the FOSA in accordance with established and standing rules and regulations.
  • Interrogate and make recommendations concerning FOSA policies to act as a basis for carrying out the operations of the section.
  • Coordinate the marketing, finance, operations and loan application activities of FOSA.
  • Review all the accounts opened in FOSA to monitor growth.
  • Advise the Head of Operations on new opportunities in the FOSA market.
  • Initiate and execute promotions and research activities needed to expand the FOSA services in liaison with Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Assess and review all members’ account opening forms for decision making.
  • Review financial statistical reports on section, members’ deposits and withdrawals to establish any unusual events.
  • Monitor any reactivation of dormant accounts and take appropriate action.
  • Keep and update record of commissions, charges on products made by our competitors and make regular recommendations to the CEO for reviews to ensure that FOSA keeps abreast with competition.

    Loans Management

  • Recommend FOSA loaning policies to act as a basis for carrying out the operations of the section in the Society.
  • Monitor and evaluate the FOSA loans performance and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Interpret lending and savings policies and procedures and coordinate their effective implementation to ensure compliance to requirements.
  • Develop and implement the best systems in appraising and approving loan applications.
  • Design and coordinate the effective and efficient storage and retrieval systems of members’ files and other related documents.
  • Review all outstanding balances every month to ensure strict loan administration and follow up.
  • Review all loan applications to ensure that the
    data required is accurately entered.
  • Review all delinquent loan accounts and advise on corrective action.

    Business Development

  • Actively work to recruit new members to join the SACCO together with the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Actively work to grow the FOSA Salaries Accounts.
  • Actively seek to enhance the FOSA and BOSA Loans uptake by new and existing members.

    Customer Service.

  • Ensure that members are accorded customer services that are responsive and meet their needs and expectations.

    Compliance, Corporate Governance and Control.

  • Ensure compliance with the policies and guidelines of the Society.
  • Liaise with External Auditors and SASRA to ensure that all transactions are compliant with existing regulatory instruments and accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the statutory reports and returns (SASRA).

    Talent management and development.

  • Ensure development of all FOSA team members through performance feedback, recommending training where appropriate and coach and mentor individuals for growth.


    Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Accounting/ Business Management/Cooperative Management/Banking or related field.
  • A professional qualification CPA (K), ACCA or ACA is an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years working experience; of which at least two must be at a management level.

    Need to know:

  • SACCO guidelines
  • SASRA guidelines
  • Computer literate
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Monitoring and evaluation skills
