Job Description

  • Inventory of water subsector performance indicators as well as SDG6 and computation methodologies, Contribution to define water economics metrics, Design appropriate Big Data analytics for hydro economics and water resources models, Development of hydro data analytics and algorithms for each hydro

  • economics metric and water resource indicator (related to SDG6, flood management, catchment restoration, erosion control, artificial storage, water use, and water quality and quantity monitoring), Review of insights and publications from KFH and technical divisions, Producing hydro

  • infography and summary statistics to support insights and publications of RWB, Setting of baseline and target for water availability, demand based on water allocation model, climate change and socio

  • Economic growth scenarios, Updating water economics metrics and hydro

  • Infography and key water sector performance indicators, Coordinating research and analytic activities using programming to clean, massage, and organize the data, Analysis and Interpretation of data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific methods, Assessing the accuracy of
    new hydro

  • Economic and hydro

  • Metrics data source and data gathering techniques across economic sectors, Contribution to the fund mobilization strategy and sub sector communication strategy, Contribution to project proposals for fund mobilization, Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors

    Job Profile

    Minimum Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Data Statistics, or Mathematics with three (3) years of relevant working experience.

    Required Competencies & Key Technical Skills

  • Experience in using and developing range of data and modelling systems (MATLAB, PCRaster, Python, R),

  • Experience with big data analytics and cloud computation (e.g Google Engine, Amazon webservices, Data cubes, etc.)

  • Experience in using SPSS and R model for advanced statistical analysis;

  • Strategic problem solving abilities;

  • Resource management skills;

  • Analytical skills;

  • Problem solving skills;

  • Decision making skills;

  • Time management skills;

  • Risk management skills;

  • Results oriented;

  • Digital literacy skills;

  • Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French. Knowledge of all is an advantage.
