Job description

IT Business and Security Specialist carries the following roles and responsibilities:

Assess and Analyze existing security systems and make recommendations for any changes or improvements needed.

Develop guidelines and training users of IT information system’s in the Ministry to ensure that there are no breeches to the security systems.

Monitor users and prepare regular reports on the use of the systems.

Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.

Maintain security through identity management, certificates, protocols, access controls and firewalls.

Work with software/hardware suppliers in the development and implementation of ICT solutions.

Identify needed software’s, models, systems, Web Portals, and Applications in order to implement knowledge management system.

Update and maintain existing softwares, models, systems, Web Portals, and Applications.

Integrate of Security models and systems for real time assessment, automation, and interoperability (API, Big Data, among others).

Analysis of system use, performance and elaboration of recommendations for improving availability.

Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the Chief Digitalization Officer.

Any other work related responsibility as assigned by the supervisor.
