  • The Rwanda Arts Council (R.A.C) established as a unique council, which is charged with spearheading council's sustainable development by ensuring the creativity in cultural arts is actively well positioned and professionally represented with dedication and expertise, in order to contribute in social economic development of Rwanda.

  • In seeking to achieve its objectives, the Rwanda Art Council in partnership with Ministry of Youth and Culture intends to strengthen its capacity to deliver, by amongst others, the implementation of goals and objectives.

  • It is in this context that, The Rwanda Art Council wishes to recruit an Executive Director who is capable to conduct the organization and enrich goals and objectives of creative industry sectors under the umbrella of the Council.

  • The Rwanda Arts Council will recruit also a Project Manager who will work to build a project pool for the organization, make planning, monitoring and evaluation of projects implemented.

    Job Position Title: Project coordinator Reporting to: Executive Director

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Project Coordinator shall be the Responsible of projects formulation, planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

  • He/She will be working closely with and report to the Executive Director.

    The following shall be his/her responsibilities among others:

  • Initiate, prepare and formulate appropriate Projects to be implemented within Rwanda Arts Council and Member Federations;

  • Planning projects short and long term implementation and ensure successful outcome

  • Ensure partnerships and funding are running smoothly for better project results

  • Produce relevant and appropriate financial reports, Ensure professional and administrative management support to Executive Director Ensure day-to-day finance, administrative and logistics resources of the Rwandan Arts Council

    Qualifications.

    In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have credibility and command respect within the domain of creative industry and will be expected to have
    the following qualifications and competencies:

  • At least a Master's Degree in Project Management, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics or related fields with experience of 3 years, or AO in the above mentioned fields and/or related field with experience of 5 years in Creative industry.

  • Holding PMP, CFA or any International Recognised certification from professional project management body will be an added advantage

  • Have served in a high level of project management positions, for at least three (3) years;

  • Have a thorough knowledge of national and international trends of creative industry;

  • Working knowledge in the areas of program/project management, analysis and statistics

  • Experience in management with ability to facilitate interpersonal relationship, organize and motivate others and working in a multicultural environment;

  • Strategic planning and implementation skills and;

  • Having experience in Arts institutional conceptualization in Rwanda

  • Experience in Digital marketing concept

  • Good skills of communication

  • Must be computer literate, especially with project planning, management.

  • Knowledge of Kinyarwanda language is compulsory.

  • Proficiency in two of the Rwanda working languages (English, French) is a must;

    Tenure of appointment:

  • The appointment will be made on fixed term contract for a period of one (1) year, of which the first three months are considered probation period. Thereafter, the contract will be renewable, subject to satisfactory perfonnance and deliverables.
