Rural Electrification Agency Senior Construction Engineer - Jobs in Uganda

The Government of Uganda represented by the Rural Electrification Agency has allocated funds for the implementation of the project for bridging the gap between demand and supply through the accelerated rural electrification program.

Through this project, all unserved Sub-county headquarters and any local government administrative structure above the Sub-county will be connected to the national electricity grid.

This will go a long way in growing electricity consumption in readiness for the increased national generation capacity.
The three-year project is to be implemented concurrently in four regions of the country, with each region operating independently through respective regional administrative units.

Reporting to the Manager Project Development and Management, the senior construction engineer shall be primarily responsible for ensuring the development of quality and acceptable designs by the Project Contractor, construction supervision and overall project management of the project. She/he will ensure that the key project milestones are realized within agreed timelines, while managing scope and budget.
