Royal Media Services Limited is seeking to recruit a highly qualified person for the above position. In this role, you, and other team members will join hands and be an amazing content machine creating engaging and professional stories across all our digital platforms. You will write compelling articles, create multimedia content for social media, and explore new and innovative ways to tell stories that will leave our audiences richer and yearning for more.

The Digital Reporter’s role will include:-

Understand the ever-evolving digital landscape and can adapt your content creation accordingly.

Craft clear, concise, and engaging articles that resonate with our audience.

With a strong multimedia content creation skill, can create and produce video content in formats that fit various Citizen Digital platforms.
bring fresh ideas to the table and aren’t afraid to experiment with different storytelling techniques.

The reporter will be tasked with closely monitoring pop culture, the arts, celebrities, social media, youth trends and cover entertainment vents.

Generate multi-media content that will be shared on Citizendigital and social media platforms like; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok that reach the required target audiences.

Use online metrics to inform story choices and how to cover/share them.

Have a nose for stories that will engage

target audience and generate chatter both online and offline.

Establish sources in the entertainment community.

Skills and Personal Attributes

Must have excellent communication & writing skills

Must have strong analytical skills and keen to detail

Understand media laws and ethics

Must be self driven, assertive, punctual and organized

Must have a nose for news and an understanding of how to package news for a digital audience

Must keep abreast of evolving trends through continuing professional education in the area of digital platforms

Academic and professional Experience

Diploma/ degree in Communication or related field from a recognized University

Over 2 years experience in a newsroom; one of which must be at a reputable organization under a digital editorial portfolio
