The office of Research and Program at Kenyatta National Hospital in collaboration with university of Washington is seeking to fill the following position in Riruta Health Centre

Position:

  • Study Nurses

    Essential requirements:
  • Registered Nurse/Higher Diploma in nursing
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Held a previous position in Maternal and Child Health
  • Language skills: fluency in English, Kiswahili
  • Team player with ability to work closely with other study staff at the site
  • Must have training and certification in Human Subjects Protection Research
  • Experience in collection of study data
  • The candidate should have at least 6 months experience in PMTCT
  • Must have enough experience in obtaining venous blood samples from mother and Dry blood spot from the infants
  • Must have experience in conducting HIV rapid test

    Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Collect data per approved Standard Operating Procedures and input into Android tablet system
  • Conduct follow up visits in person with study participants either at the facility or at home
  • Submit weekly summaries of follow-up and exit visits interviews to the study data manager
  • Answer participant’s messages
