Right To Play Partnerships and Grants Manager Jobs in Ethiopia; The position builds and sustains trusted, partnership‑oriented relationships with local Civil Society Organization (CSO) sub‑grantees across a multi‑country portfolio to enable delivery of the No Child on the Sidelines program.
Accountability & Responsibilities
Managing & Coordinating CSO Relationships (70%)
Serve as primary day‑to‑day contact for CSO sub‑grantees.
Support CSO onboarding, orientation and reporting obligations.
Identify and mitigate risks in collaboration with CSOs and SFM.
Conduct regular virtual check‑ins and periodic in‑country visits.
Review and consolidate CSO financial and programmatic reports.
Technical Assistance & Capacity Building (15%)
Identify CSO technical assistance needs through assessments.
Coordinate with RTP global technical staff to respond.
Support facilitation of Community of Practice (CoP) sessions.
Stakeholder Engagement (15%)
Represent programme at regional and global forums.
Maintain relationships with civil society networks, women‑led and refugee‑led organisations, governance bodies and humanitarian mechanisms.
Scope, Impact & Autonomy
Global role supporting implementation of No Child on the Sidelines across CSO sub‑grant partners.
Functional responsibility for managing CSO relationships to enable program outcomes, reporting and compliance.
Decisions with significant implications escalated to SFM.
Leadership & Staff Management
No direct reports; provides indirect leadership to CSO partners through coordination, compliance oversight and CoP facilitation.
Information for Decision‑Making
Relies on CSO financial/narrative reports, consolidated budget data, GAC agreement and partner workplans.
Innovation & Improvements
Support development and monitoring of new
tools for program delivery.
Relationships & Communication
Collaborate internally with Program Quality, Finance, Marketing & Communications and Country Offices.
Manage external relationships with education authorities, ministries, UN agencies and civil society networks.
Qualifications & Experience
Post‑secondary degree in relevant field; PMP certification an asset.
7 years’ experience working with CSOs in partnership management, capacity building or organisational development in MENA, South Asia or Africa.
Experience in conflict‑affected or fragile contexts with do‑no‑harm principles.
Experience facilitating group learning across diverse contexts.
Results‑based reporting and donor compliance oversight.
Fluent in English and French; Arabic or Urdu proficiency an asset.
Proficiency in digital collaboration tools, including emerging AI technologies.
Technical background in education in emergencies, child protection, psychosocial support or sport/play‑based development an asset.
