Job Description

What the work involves:

Construction management (construction planning, execution, monitoring, control, improvement)

Duration of contract is 12 months from start of construction in the first quarter of 2019
EGIS Bâtiments International will have a senior French construction manager that will be on site while AEE will have a backstopping team of specialized structural engineers, and external architects and mechanical, electrical and plumbing planners supporting the project periodically.

Working 6 days depending on the shift arrangement of the contractor

Working according to the project quality management system and AEE - Quality System

Job Requirements

Afro-European Engineers is working with EGIS Bâtiments International of France to design and supervise the newly planed Soufflet Malt Ethiopia in Industrial Park, Bole Lemi 2, Addis Ababa.

To this end, AEE is looking to recruit a capable civil engineer or construction technologist/manager with the following profile:

Education:

B.Sc. in civil engineering or B.Sc. in construction technology and management
Experience: Construction management experience of not less than 6 months, including internship.

Industrial construction management experience is preferred but is not mandatory
Computer skills: Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word,

MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook) and AutoCAD.

Willingness to study and develop capacity in MS Project and REVIT.

Personal orientation:

Self-controlled, self-motivated, objective oriented, quick learner, culturally conscious, extremely strong work discipline/ethic, eagerness to learn to add real value on construction projects

Language skills:

Proficiency in writing and speaking English and Amharic.

French language skills are desired but not mandatory.

Graduation grades: 3.25/4.0 or above is preferred but not mandatory
