Job Description

The Job description includes, but is not limited to the following.

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies

  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets

  • Build a high-performing sales team by providing strong mentorship, coaching, and guidance

  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key accounts and distributors
    Identifying and acquiring new customers, as well as up-selling to the existing customer base

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports and forecasts

  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

  • Analyzing market trends and competitors’ activities and formulating strategies to respond to these.

  • Monitor and ensure an increase in the company’s sales across modern trade channels and open markets

  • Managing large key distributors accounts and modern trade accounts at a National level

  • Developing and accessing the national marketing strategy to increase customer acquisition and retention.

  • Evaluating information related to Sales, promotions, competition, and market research

  • Increasing sales and distribution of new and existing company products

    Requirements

  • He must have experience in the FMCG industry with at least 10 years of sales experience.

  • He must have occupied a similar position as NSM in a food company for not less than 5 years and not only knows major cities across Nigeria but has also worked
    in all zones in Nigeria.

  • Strong sales management background in the FMCG industry.

  • The preferred candidate must have in-depth knowledge of managing a high-performance sales team with outstanding communication, presentation, leadership, and management skills.

  • He must have vast experience in sales both in the open market and modern trade across Nigeria.
    He must possess good analytical skills and be an excellent problem solver.

  • The ability to drive with a valid Driver’s License is compulsory.
