Refugee Studies Centre Transitions Manager Jobs in Kenya;Responsible for the design and delivery of professional development and employability support services for graduates affected by forced displacement. The postholder will:

Professional Development Services Design (35%)

  • Lead design of professional development services, piloting workshops and resources.

  • Document programme design and implementation.

  • Use feedback to inform continuous improvement.

  • Monitor labour market trends to guide programme content.

    Participant Support & Delivery (35%)

  • Deliver 1:1 career coaching.

  • Facilitate group workshops and employability sessions.

  • Lead onboarding and induction of participants.

  • Match affiliates to opportunities and provide readiness support.

    Technical Expertise & External Guidance (15%)

  • Provide technical support to Scholars Program universities.

  • Deliver transitions workshops with partners.

  • Supervise incoming Careers Advisors.

    Operations & Administration (10%)

  • Maintain case management systems and participant records.

    Other Duties (5%)

  • Attend PPP team meetings and contribute to planning.

    Selection Criteria

    Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, HR, social sciences, international development or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Significant experience in careers guidance, employability or workforce transitions.

  • Experience designing and delivering employability programmes.

  • Experience delivering workshops and 1:1 career coaching.

  • Experience working
    with refugees or displaced populations.

  • Experience maintaining participant records and using CRM systems.

  • Knowledge of labour market trends and recruitment processes.

  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and project management skills.

  • Commitment to inclusion, equity and affiliate‑centred practice.

  • Excellent written and verbal English.

    Desirable

  • Master’s degree in relevant field.

  • Experience in nonprofit, higher education or international development.

  • Experience across multiple regions, especially LMIC contexts.

  • Fluency in French, Swahili, Arabic, Amharic, Somali or Oromo.

  • Experience supervising or mentoring colleagues.

  • Professional qualification in career guidance, coaching or counselling.
