Our client is looking to hire a talented ruby on rails developer to manage the interchange of data between their users and the server. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic for the central database, testing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating front-end elements into the application.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop new features in our backend, ensuring the product is ready for scale

Provide an interface for internal and external services through APIs

Further develop our engineering principles and standards of clean code, efficiency, and maintainability

Key Skills:

Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3,

Knowledge of server-side templating languages including Slim and Liquid,

Familiarity with testing tools,

Ability to write clean ruby code,

Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial,

Qualifications:

3+ years of working experience in developing large-scale applications

Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Docker, and Kubernetes is highly valued

3+ years of working experience in Ruby and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails
