Our client in the Agri Industry is in the process of substantially expanding their fleet of agricultural machinery, trucks and light vehicles and require the services of an experienced agricultural workshop manager who can manage the maintenance and management of their fleet.

The position requires a candidate who is motivated, disciplined and organized with strong people management and planning skills. They require someone who is able to work across different properties and be willing to travel.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not subject to:

Maintaining the company’s fleet of agricultural equipment, comprising mostly of John Deere equipment such as tractors (9, 8, 7, 6 and 5 series), combine harvesters (S770), self propelled sprayers (r4030), implements (Lemken, Agro-Masz, MacDon etc).

Maintaining the company’s fleet of construction and earth-moving equipment, trucks and light vehicles.

Overseeing the management of different teams of mechanics in the company’s different workshops.

Managing stock levels and procurement of required spares to ensure the continued operational efficiency of the equipment under the candicandidates'onsibility.

Effectively utilising modern technology to diagnose and fix faults on different machines.

Compiling weekly maintenance

reports.

Instituting and managing long-term maintenance and service plans.

Ensuring compliance to all company policy, with a strong focus on health and safety in the workplace.

Key Skills and Qualifications;

Relevant industry qualifications with supporting references or proof of experience Minimum of 4 years previous work experience in a similar role with John Deere Farming Equipment, Tractors, and Implements, etc

Computer literate Good verbal and written communication skills

Excellent planning skills Self-motivated, result-driven, exceptional attention to detail, and able to take initiative

Able to work independently and with good initiative

Valid driver’s license

Valid passport
