Job DescriptionTo reinforce our Supply Chain Department, we are looking for a Planning Specialist reporting directly to the supply Chain Manager.
Your role
The purpose of the Planner is to perform and report RM & FG planning , ensure procurement and import operations in accordance with the company policy and provide raw and packaging materials on time for production plan;
Controlling production plan and ordering necessary packaging and raw materials and providing all purchases on time
Following nonconformity material process until getting credit notes or action plans
Following up urgent deliveries regardless time and keep production running
Create FG production order based on demand
Plan demand & production according to forecast requested from relevant departments and ensure that our products reach our customers on time, at the right quantity
Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly reports
RM planning
Control required materials and prepare RM requirement list to be placed orders according to the monthly forecasts
Ensure that PO will be created and followed based on production requirement
Enter goods receipt in sage system for all purchased raw materials
Follow market price for local purchasing and provide appropriate conditions
Enter nonconformity forms into QA system
Declare complaints to the suppliers, send them samples of rejected materials when needed and get necessary action plans
Follow up credit note documents and ensure that they are deducted
from related invoices or transferred into our bank account
Control local purchase invoices and deliver them to finance department after approval from concerning manager
Do vendor evaluation on quarterly basis and report to HQ and region
Request samples for cost or improvement projects and follow up the projects closely
FG Planning
Demand forecasting; ensure that KAMs enter the forecast in APO and validate on time
Plan production and capacity for short, mid and long term in SAP, check and revise the short term plans by combining the data provided by sales, forecast and deadline
Prepare reports about planning and capacity budget, share with related team members
Check stock level of Raw Materials and Finished Goods on a daily basis in order to manage production orders and to keep them on targeted level
Ensure that finished goods are delivered on time by measuring “Service Level“
Handle all analysis related to planning and make required improvements accordingly
Job Requirements
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Min 3 years of experience in a similar position
Good command of SAP and MS Office
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written (Amharic and English)
Excellent ability to work with EXCEL files
Ability to work in a team
