General Position Summary

The position holder shall mentor and support district Health workers in providing quality care and treatment services to HIV positive clients and ensure achievement of treatment targets.

Essential Job Functions

Provide technical assistance and mentorship for health workers in HIV/AIDS care

Provide continuous clinical mentoring in all areas including reporting for all related MoH reports

Support and participate in a Continuous Medical Education (CME) programs for all staff

Support coordination of health education talks in HIV/AIDS related fields

Lead and strengthen quality improvement activities in all HIV/AIDS related fields at all facilities

Support referral and linkages for clients receiving care at supported facilities

Support roll out of treatment guidelines from MoH to all facilities.

Support Health facilities to review weekly data on linkage and those starting ART.

Coordinate and facilitate activities for expert clients and linkage facilitators

Support DSDM models in all supported activities

Any other assigned duties in line with your role

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

A Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a reputable institution.

Possess valid registration

with the relevant licensing body.

Ability to ride a motorcycle is a requirement with a valid riding permit.

Willingness to work with Key populations like CSWs, Long distance truck drivers, fisher folk without discrimination is required.

Working experience in a similar HIV care setting will be an added advantage.

Willingness to work and reside in the rural community of Butambala.

Good interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.

Fluent in Luganda which is the most commonly used local language in the area of scope

Ability to work under minimum supervision.
