Job Summary

  • Our ideal Radio Producer is one who can adapt to a fast paced environment, has a passion for Radio and storytelling, possesses a curious mind, is articulate and possesses the clarity of thought to produce world class programs for the station.

  • Our ideal candidate will understand the importance of adhering to our editorial standards which are in line with global best practice.

  • He or she will have an existing relationship with media practitioners and newsmakers and will possess the ability to keep building working relationships with relevant stakeholders.

  • Having a network across the African continent is an added advantage.

    Responsibilities

  • To identify the biggest stories of the day in Nigeria, pitch ideas and source for appropriate resource persons to tell stories effectively and cover all angles.

  • To identify and generate quality interviews based on happenings in our areas of primary focus, Nigeria and the African continent.

  • To research and gather information to create compelling content that aligns with the target audience and station’s format.

  • Plan and organize production schedules, book guests, and coordinate with on-air talent and technical staff.

  • Record and edit both audio and video content when needed .

  • Operate studio equipment and handle any technical issues that may arise
    during live broadcasts.

  • Direct on-air talent during live broadcasts, guiding them on content, timing, tone, and delivery to maintain a cohesive and engaging show.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication or a related field

  • 3 – 5 years of experience

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
