IT/Systems Internal Auditor
Radio Africa Group is a fast growing and dynamic media company consisting of 6 radio stations, one TV station and one newspaper. We are looking for a talented, energetic, ambitious and self motivated individual keen on a career enhancing opportunity to fill the position of System Internal Auditor.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems, Business IT or related field from a recognized University.
Professional certification in IT Audit e.g. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
Additional qualifications in accounting e.g. CPA or ACCA will be an added advantage but not mandatory.
Must have At least 2 years’ information systems audit experience specializing in Information Systems from a reputable audit firm or extensive experience in Information Systems audit within an internal audit function.
Demonstrable knowledge in concepts of risk assessment and control.
Knowledge and experience in the use of electronic audit file management system and CAAT’s.
Detailed knowledge of information systems governance and security principles & practices.
Excellent communication, analytical and report writing skills.
Attention to detail, result oriented, good organizational skills and ability to work independently or within a team within strict deadlines.
A member of a recognized professional body i.e. ISACA, ICPAK or IIA.

Experience working with legacy systems.
Creativity in solving technical problems.
A meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail.

Have strong business acumen
Job Specification
The job holder will report directly to the Group Head of Audit and will be responsible for driving improvement in the internal control environment by providing proactive recommendations on control issues and execute specific audit assignments according to the audit plan.
Key Responsibilities
Develop an effective risk-based audit approach that includes clear and concise risk/control matrices and audit programs.
Prepare
clear, comprehensive work papers that support the work performed and conclusions diligently and properly documented.
Optimize available resources and complete audits within the agreed budget and timeframe;
Alert the Group Head of Audit any significant risk issues identified and any delays encountered during the audit.
Draft clear and concise audit findings to bring any concerns to management's attention.
Prepare audit reports that effectively address the key issues to be raised to management's attention, with minimal supervision or editing required. Take prime responsibility for timely delivery of the draft and final audit reports.
Ensure that management responses are relevant and respond directly to the issues that are being raised.
Develop and maintain good interaction and communication within the Audit team, Senior Management and other stakeholders.
Timely track and follow up on open audit issues with the accountable parties, and escalate to management when required;
Identify opportunities for improving the audit process and share ideas with Audit management.
Play a role in the Department's continuous monitoring program.
Undertake ad hoc assignments whenever called upon e.g. fraud/forensic investigation
