QuickCare Clinics and Wellness Centre Triage Nurse Jobs in Uganda
A specially trained registered nurse who is responsible for assessing patients and establishing the level of care that they require.
They facilitate patient flow through the department.
They reduce patient waiting times and increase the performance of the clinic by delivering positive health outcomes.
You will ensure that the facility provides the correct type and level of care to facilitate patient satisfaction and well-being.
Job Responsibilities
Perform patient assessment
Reassess patients who are waiting
Initiate emergency treatment if necessary
Manage and communicate with patients in the waiting room
Provide education to patients and families when necessary
Sort patients into priority groups according to guidelines
Transport patients to appropriate treatment areas
Communicate the status of patients to doctors and nurses
Typical Background, Experience & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree a plus.
Registered with the relevant health body i.e. Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council etc.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in nursing support functions, with increasing responsibility and experience within a busy and dynamic business environment a plus.
Additional education may substitute for some experience; additional experience may substitute for some education.
Staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a
learning environment a plus.
Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and information management systems.

Very good planning, organizational, and time management skills
Ability to make sound judgment and good decisions
Strong customer service orientation with very good communication and interpersonal skills
Ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proactive, resourceful, solutions-oriented and results-oriented
