QED Group Deputy Chief of Party Vacancies in Ghana


The QED Group is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for a multiyear learning and evaluation (M&E) program for USAID/Ghana.
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will be responsible for overseeing and managing logistics in order to support implementation of this program.
This position is contingent on QED being awarded this project.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of the program, including work plans, staffing, and gathering information and data for reporting or analysis as required by the award.

  • Prepare reports and provide recommendations on the direction of implementation to the Chief of Party or USAID as
    needed.

  • Contribute to the leadership and management of project activities, including performance and impact evaluations, assessments, special studies, surveys, data quality assessments, performance management support, capacity building and learning services, and field monitoring, verification and reporting services.

  • Support quality control and the overall responsiveness of technical assistance provided under the contract, including necessary adjustments to operations to fit the requirements of USAID.

  • Support the Chief of Party (COP) in the supervision of a team in order to complete tasks on time and on budget.

  • Fulfill the role of COP in the COP’s absence.

    Qualifications


  • Highly developed interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiating skills.

  • Strong understanding of multi-sectoral development theory and thorough working knowledge of USAID operations, regulations, policies, procedures and programs desirable.

  • Familiarity with the culture, society and development context of Ghana and Western Africa.
    Should have strong leadership skills and experience in managing large interdisciplinary teams.

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
    French language skills preferred.
