Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting and finance operations.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.

  • Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

  • Perform monthly bank, supplier, and ledger reconciliations.

  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.

  • Conduct financial analysis and provide management reports.

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

  • Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, and other statutory returns.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits.

  • Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.

  • Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.

  • Support inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.

  • Analyze production costs and profitability.

  • Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end financial closing.

  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff.

  • Support ERP implementation and financial system improvements.

  • Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.

  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.

  • Perform any other finance‑related duties as assigned.

    Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior
    accounting role.

  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing sector highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, and financial reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.

  • Experience managing audits and statutory compliance.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
