Pyxus International Plant Technician / Operator - Blow Molding Jobs in Tanzania

Job Summary:

The job provides information to oversee and manage the full PET bottle production process, to monitor equipment to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Air compressors, Air receivers, Air Driers, Chillers, 3 & 5kgs blowers, 1 kg blowers and conveyors to minimize the losses hence achieve the expected yield.

Also responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, hygiene of the plant and troubleshooting of the facility’s equipment and instruments in compliance with TFDA, TBS and international Standards for food packaging process; To carryout basic electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and modifications of electrical and electrical systems. .

What you will do:

• To Manage bottle Production to achieve and intended targets in line with packaging Sstandard Operating Procedures

• To Monitor the bottle production processes and ensure the quality of bottle produced achieve optimal rate of production.

• Implementation of the off season and on season maintenance plan, reduces down time, coordinates installation and repairs of all electrical equipment and machinery.

Who you are and what you’ve done

NTA

Level 5 in Electrical Engineering / Diploma in Electrical Engineering Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Instrumentation

Experience

• PET bottle blowing experience in similar environment with 4 to 6 years in a senior position 2 to 3years

• Air Compressors, Chillers, in-line bottle filling operational and maintenance 1 to 2 years

• PLC experience in similar environment

Knowledge Areas

• Electrical engineering, PLC and hydraulics and pneumatics

• PLC and electrical maintenance

• Budget control

• Technical drawing and project management

• Computer literacy

• Health, Safety and Security

Skills

• Analytical and problem solving skills

• Ability to manage work teams and achieve objectives

• Verbal and written English and Swahili and ability to prepare and present relatively complex situations

• Ability to plan the work program and identify critical objectives and issues for the on and off season

• Quality control and Troubleshooting skills
