Services to be provided

Development and delivery of data and integration solutions e.g. building/enhancing data models, sourcing data, transformation, optimisation and provisioning.

Technical support of existing models and platforms within the BI environment e.g. enhancements and bug fixes.

Technical documentation of

data environments, data models and data flows.

Working independently or with seniors on a project team to deliver new requirements that are small to medium scale.

Collaboration within the data team to help bring about improvements and efficiencies relating to the technical data environment.

Assisting the Data Engineering function with data analysis, monitoring and troubleshooting.

Working with the DBA team to ensure that deliverables meet quality expectations.

Scope of services included

Delivery of assigned tasks as captured and assigned in the BI team’s product backlog or approved and assigned through a supported Africa Technology product line backlog or approved and assigned through the helpdesk solution by the Team Lead.

Scope of services excluded

Any tasks not specified in the BI product backlog or supported Africa Technology product line backlog or helpdesk, unless agreed with the Team Lead.

Approach

The position will report to the Team Lead, working closely with the Business Intelligence Technical Lead with regards to deliverable review and approval.

Projects and work tasks will be assigned through the Africa Technology scrum delivery process as prioritised and approved by the Team Lead.

Adherence to PwC technical best practices and standards.

All work tasks to be recorded, managed and delivered within the PwC standard work management platform (Azure DevOps).

Adherence to PwC software development and release processes including, but not limited to, change and release controls, security, risk and governance.

Maintenance of professional relationships and communication with key stakeholders.

Deliverables

Product and environment support tasks as assigned through the product backlogs and helpdesk.

Service Line project tasks as assigned through the Africa Tech Product Line backlogs.

Data Engineering team project tasks related to internal projects.

Technical documentation of solutions.

Technical test cases.

Technical input into delivery plans.
