Publish What You Pay (PWYP) is a global membership-based coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in over forty countries across the world. PWYP works to reduce poverty, combat corruption, protect basic human rights and promote economically, socially and environmentally sustainable development through the transparent management of the oil, gas, and mining (extractive) sector. PWYP engages at all stages of the extractive sector value chain to support research and promote training, learning and access to information by citizens


Responsibilities


  • Ensure full understanding of programme activities and objectives and of personal role and responsibilities on each activity
  • PWYP programme activities are implemented and completed in a timely fashion
  • Manage personal schedule to ensure delivery against expectations; taking the initiative to report any challenges to the Regional
  • Coordinator and proactively seek solutions to those challenges
  • Database of all programme activities detailing status (running, closed, pipeline etc) in place and up to date
  • Field visits appreciated by coalition partners regarding delivery of donor related reporting requirements.
  • Technical and financial reports that meet pre-agreed PWYP reporting requirements are produced according to reporting timelines
  • Coalition staff are aware of and abide by their requirements to provide necessary information for documentation/reporting and instruments for their submission
  • Project management tools are in place for the regional office and for the coalitions, which accurately track progress of project activities against plans
  • Lessons learned are regularly tracked
    and referred to during project reviews


    Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration; Public Administration
    Project Management Certification (added advantage)
  • At least 5 years of programmatic experience in the development sector with exposure to project management and project finance
  • Familiarity with the regional and global extractive industry transparency movement is an added advantage
  • Office administration experience including devising and managing complex processes to ensure smooth operations within an office or project environment
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, including producing project reports and minute taking
  • Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)
  • Proven organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to a high level of accuracy
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%
  • Proficiency in Office Suites (Experience using Google applications an added advantage)
