In line with enhancing career progression of staff and to support business growth, we seek to recruit a qualified, experienced, self-driven, highly motivated and passionate candidate to fill the position outlined below within the Communication and Advertising unit.


Responsibilities


Project planning:

  • Participate in project management where you write technical solution proposals, set timelines, goals, deliverables, and execute accordingly along with a solid communication strategy and plan.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of a project. Ensure the project is on schedule as per the set timelines and deliverables at the highest attainable quality standards; while coordinating between internal stakeholders, vendors and the customer.
  • Judiciously document and communicate project activities, plans and decisions, ensuring team members at different levels know their role and are supported to execute their assignment.
  • Work with the systems team, clients/partners to define the problem they are trying to address and design an appropriate technology solution.
  • Identify project and technical risks early, raise them with our team and work together on mitigation strategies.

    Business Requirements management:

  • When required, interact with clients to understand the client’s business, their needs, goals and visions for products provided by Finserve.
  • Write software specifications, manage project execution, review UI/UX wireframes and mockups, and define product roll-out strategy, including writing product development timelines.
  • Assist the sales and system teams in technical discussions and be responsible for the technical solution/design for new and existing customers.
  • Ensure that our development team understand the business context and value of their tasks, as well as how it impacts users.
  • Work with our developers to decompose high level stories into smaller, specific tasks and provide high level design support to help them understand how to solve specific coding challenges.
  • Identify and define key inter-dependencies in relation to design and deployment of our customer’s solutions.

    Procedures:

  • Evaluate processes used across the Technology department and identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensure the Technology groups are fully aligned on processes and delivery using Confluence, JIRA and other tools.
  • Own and drive critical technology product processes, including:
  • Quarterly Prioritization
  • Weekly Reporting to Tech Council
  • Bi-weekly Sprint Demo Coordination
  • Go-to-market Strategy and Execution
  • Prepare, analyse and submit accurate and timely reports to aid in decision making.
  • Communicate project progress in a timely manner to the senior management team and project stakeholders.
  • Maximize projects team productivity and ensure they operate within the set policies and procedures
  • Put together system support documentation for end consumers.
  • Train the team on specific areas to ensure efficient delivery of tasks assigned.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with the sales, products, operations, developers, bank support and the senior management.
  • Manage cross-departmental events and collaborate with stakeholders across all functions of the business i.e. Sales, Systems, Technology, Bank support and Developers; for Finserve products.


    Requirements


  • Ability to lead cross-functional business and technical teams to deliver projects in the Fintech sector. Team lead throughout a project life cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex business
    issues and identify, design and implement effective and innovative practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Customer Service oriented with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Genuine customer focus.
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Good planning and organizational skills; and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, with minimum supervision.
  • High tolerance for work in a rapidly evolving work environment (adaptability)
  • Ability to manage teams/projects and bring them to success
  • Able to operate in a performance driven organization
  • Organized and efficient in work processes
  • Fundamental project management skills using project management tools & techniques.
  • University degree from a well-recognized university
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, 3 of which must have been spent in systems and project management preferably the fintech industry.
  • Basic data modelling, JSON, XML, working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, SQL, REST APIs etc.
