Qualifications

  • Diploma in Petroleum Geoscience, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Applied Technology (Technical & Applied Physics), Earth Science, Petroleum Operations or Cartography & GIS from a university recognized in Kenya.

    Job Summary

    This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in collection and compilation of petroleum data.

  • Assist in updating petroleum and technical databases.

  • Participate in labeling and sample preparation for analytical work.

  • Undertake analysis on rock, water, oil and gas.

  • Participate in petroleum geoscientific field surveys.

  • Assist in maintenance of laboratory and survey equipment for geoscientific petroleum activities.
