Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, Environmental Geology, Environmental & Natural Resources Management, Climate Change, Occupational Health & Safety, Soil Water & Environmental Engineering, Environmental Chemistry or Environmental Planning, Management & Policy from a university recognized in Kenya.

    Job Summary

    This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and compile environmental, health and safety data related to oil and gas.

  • Update and maintain geospatial databases for environmental monitoring in oil and gas areas.

  • Participate in environmental, health and safety audits for petroleum operations.

  • Contribute to preparation of reports on oil and gas health, safety and environment matters.

  • Participate in promotion of public awareness on petroleum‑related environmental and safety issues.
