Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option), Business Administration (Accounting option), Accounting & Finance or Economics & Finance from a university recognized in Kenya.

  • Part III of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination or Part III of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

    Job Summary

    This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze information required for petroleum audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.

  • Assist in reviewing Work Programs and Budgets, Field Development Plans and other petroleum proposals.

  • Monitor compliance with petroleum agreements, Government approvals, statutory payments, guarantees and other obligations.

  • Participate in examination of upstream petroleum operations books of account.

  • Verify accounting entries, material records and inventories, vouchers, invoices and other documents, correspondences and upstream records.

  • Participate in inspection of plants, facilities and warehouses of petroleum operations.
