Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering or Technology (Chemical Engineering) from a university recognized in Kenya.

    Job Summary

    This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and record petroleum engineering data on drilling, production and reservoir performance.

  • Participate in petroleum drilling and related engineering work programs for designated projects.

  • Contribute to petroleum resource evaluation.

  • Participate in measurement and calibration of down‑hole parameters including temperature, flow rate and pressure of oil and gas.

  • Monitor installation, operation and maintenance of petroleum engineering equipment and facilities.
