Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Diplomacy, Global Affairs, International Law, International Trade, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Economics, Law, Peace & Conflict Studies, Development Studies, Environmental/Climate Studies, Natural Resource Management, ICT/Computer Science, or Communication/Media Studies.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Result‑oriented and committed to continuous learning.

    Note

  • Proficiency in UN/AU languages (French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Arabic) or other relevant international languages is an added advantage.

  • Appointment subject to successful completion of Foreign Service Entry Course at the Foreign Service Academy.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in and report on meetings with foreign diplomats and dignitaries.

  • Undertake guided research on foreign service issues.

  • Draft briefs, speeches, diplomatic notes, and messages.

  • Perform general protocol duties.
