PSC Senior Principal Lecturer (Agriculture/Livestock) Jobs in Kenya




Qualifications for appointment

  • Served for a cumulative service period of ten (10) years, three (3) of which must have been in the grade of Principal Lecturer, CSG 8 or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Management, Sports and Recreation Management, Sports and Exercise Science, Leisure and Recreational Exercise Management or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya

  • Certificate in Training of Trainers (TOT) lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution for officers who do not hold a Bachelor of Education degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Education

  • Certificate in Outdoor Experiential Training lasting not less than three (3) weeks from a recognized institution

  • Certificate in Para-Military Training lasting not less than three (3) months from a recognized institution

  • Demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability as reflected in work performance and results

    Duties and responsibilities
  • Facilitate outdoor experiential education lessons

  • Oversee the implementation of safety and risk management policies

  • Inspect training schemes, logbooks and confidential reports

  • Coordinate research programs on experiential education and emerging trends

  • Design, review and implement training programs

  • Develop training materials

  • Provide consultancy in the respective field

  • Provide logistical support

  • Prepare course reports

  • Conduct training for senior management

  • Lead staff training and development
