Overall Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of medium to large commercial projects.

  • To manage and develop teams you are responsible for.

  • To ensure professional standards of work are maintained and projects are completed to time and budget.

  • To help develop methods of project initiation, execution and delivery

    The Role

  • Assist in the development of project scope and project work breakdown structure to facilitate decision making at the start-up of the project.

  • Prepare a project implementation plan and other key documents to support the project.

  • Assist in the creation of annual work plans and project schedules.

  • Take an active role in the development of annual project budgets.

  • Assists with records management, communications, and feedback and ensure that monitoring and evaluation frameworks are effectively established to facilitate project start-up and to support the project to completion.

  • Keep track of project deliverables and keep the management of RAK Media up to date on issues arising with implementation.

  • Prepare regular reports to assist in tracking project progress and ensure that project schedules and deadlines are met.

  • Identify project issues and possible solutions and bring them to the attention of the immediate line manager.

  • Assist in collection and analysis of information necessary for innovative and responsive proposals
    the organization has decided to pursue.

  • Serve as a primary proposal writer, drafting, editing, and ensuring final production of competitive proposals.

    Core Skills

  • Thorough familiarity with word processing, spread sheet, and project scheduling computer applications

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently,

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines

  • Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated experience of working with both internal and external stakeholders.

    Experience

  • Over 3 years’ experience in project management.

  • Experience managing projects in the corporate sector.

    Education:

  • Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, project management or any other related field.
