    Therefore, we are looking for a competent and talented
    native Amharic translator to hire as a full-time staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate documents assigned to him/her to and from Amharic and English
  • Transcribe audio/video and translate to Amharic or English as needed
  • Edit/proofread documents as assigned
  • Manage translation projects assigned to him/her
  • Deliver tasks on or before deadline


    Job Requirements

  • A minimum of BA/MA degree in English, Amharic, Journalism or other related fields
  • A minimum of 2 years proven professional experience in translation
  • Excellent writing skills in Amharic and English
  • Strong skills of attention to detail
  • Excellent use of computer applications and the internet
  • Willing and motivated to learn new things
  • Good command of Afan Oromo or Tigrigna is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and good interpersonal skills
