Therefore, we are looking for a competent and talented

native Amharic translator to hire as a full-time staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Translate documents assigned to him/her to and from Amharic and English

Transcribe audio/video and translate to Amharic or English as needed

Edit/proofread documents as assigned

Manage translation projects assigned to him/her

Deliver tasks on or before deadline


Job Requirements

A minimum of BA/MA degree in English, Amharic, Journalism or other related fields

A minimum of 2 years proven professional experience in translation

Excellent writing skills in Amharic and English

Strong skills of attention to detail

Excellent use of computer applications and the internet

Willing and motivated to learn new things

Good command of Afan Oromo or Tigrigna is a plus

Ability to work under pressure and good interpersonal skills
