Job Description

  • As an HSE Officer at Primestix Construction, you will lead the implementation of HSE policies, champion a culture of safety, and ensure that our construction projects align with rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Your expertise will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for quality and responsibility.

    Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines across our construction projects.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement effective controls.

  • Provide HSE training sessions for employees and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safe work practices.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive actions.

  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.

  • Monitor compliance with local regulations and industry standards, and implement necessary corrective actions.

  • Drive environmental initiatives to reduce waste, promote sustainable practices, and minimize our ecological footprint.

  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans to ensure preparedness for unexpected events.

  • Generate comprehensive HSE reports, metrics, and updates for management and regulatory agencies.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    Professional certifications in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
    in HSE roles within the construction or related industry.

  • Profound understanding of safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills to deliver impactful training and reports.

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to implement practical solutions.

  • Proficiency in HSE software tools and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Team player with the capacity to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

  • Adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.
