Pride Microfinance Limited ICT Security Officer Jobs in Uganda

Job Description

The ICT Security Officer will be based at Head Office and directly report to the ICT Security Manager.

He/she will be responsible for monitoring the security compliance of networks, servers and applications, and responding to security events and alerts.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Implement security measures in compliance with Pride’s policies and procedures.

Review IT security strategy, policies and standards as per the business requirements.

Install and update IT infrastructure, provide security against hackers and intruders.

Conduct training for staff in IT Security.

Update and maintain the registers of physical access to the bank server rooms at all times, record the times and dates of staff and non-staff enter and leave the server rooms.

Review and recommend to Manage ICT Security cost effective and appropriate security technology products for network, systems and data.

Periodically test the disaster recovery plan (DRP).

Person Specifications

Should be a good communicator with good analytical, administration, multi-tasking, reporting and interpersonal skills.

Should be mature, intelligent,

diligent, with strong work ethics, integrity and able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

He/she should not be more than 35 years of age.

Minimum academic qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science /IT or any related field.

cisco certification (CCNA,CCNP,CEH)

At least 2 years’ experience in a busy ICT environment in a similar position preferably a banking industry.

2 principle passes at A’ Level

Credit passes in English and Mathematics at O’ Level.
