Premier Bank Business Bankers & Business Officer - Nairobi Jobs in Kenya;The role contributes to the growth of the Bank’s asset and liabilities books through achievement of allocated targets, management of a portfolio of key corporate accounts, and support to the Head of Business in administration, market intelligence and strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop cost‑effective, long‑term asset business with reputable companies and organizations to maximize profitability.
Act as consultant to client senior management, advising on financing strategies and structures.
Maintain strong relationship contact with assigned customers to manage expectations and enhance understanding of PBK.
Anticipate shifting customer expectations and initiate measures to keep PBK ahead of competitors.
Liaise with branch managers to handle corporate transactions while safeguarding the bank.
Identify and exploit cross‑selling opportunities to embed bank products with customer needs.
Build dynamic target pipeline and market for new profitable customers.
Ensure compliance with KYC and AML requirements.
Participate in cross‑functional activities to promote collective responsibility for bank objectives.
Provide periodic performance reports on marketing activities.
Manage and develop portfolio by maintaining existing income sources.
Structure and negotiate finance/lease agreements per guidelines.
Coordinate services for assigned clients, monitor contractual obligations and support retention marketing.
Provide outstanding relationship management and advice to diverse business customers.
Negotiate financing arrangements, prepare and review proposals for approval.
Contribute to corporate business strategies.
Apply value‑based management approach to cost control.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance related field.
Professional banking operations training (AKIB, ACIB)
and business development background.
Minimum 1 year relevant work experience with proven results.
Passion for selling and client relationship management.
Experience in banking or financial institution.
Proven record of managing customer relations and growing financing/asset portfolio.

Sound knowledge of bank products, services and CBK Prudential Guidelines.
Understanding of Banking Act, CBK Regulations and prudential guidelines.

Strong diplomacy, accuracy, attention to detail and analytical ability.
High professionalism and ethical standards.
Strategic thinker with sound business acumen and decision‑making ability.
Excellent PR, interpersonal, communication and reporting skills.
Problem analysis and listening ability.
Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Internet, Email).
