Postbank Principal ICT Officer/Infrastructure Management Jobs in Kenya
About the Role
Responsible for providing strategic leadership, planning, governance, and oversight of the organization's ICT infrastructure environment.
Ensures the availability, security, resilience, performance, and scalability of technology platforms supporting business operations and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide end-user support and training on effective use of ICT facilities.
Manage and administer Domain Policies, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and security services.
Install, configure, administer, and manage the corporate antivirus system.
Manage computer hardware maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle management.
Develop hardware specifications and conduct technical evaluations.
Install, manage, and monitor money transfer systems including MoneyGram, RIA, and Western Union.
Manage user accounts, file access permissions, and resource privileges.
Implement and maintain FTP, SFTP, and web servers.
Manage SAN storage, virtualization environments, and enterprise infrastructure platforms.
Install and manage digital security certificates.
Monitor and report on server performance and health.
Develop and implement ICT infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
Manage enterprise servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, and operating systems.
Ensure optimum infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.
Administer Windows, Linux, and other enterprise platforms.
Manage Active Directory, identity management, and access control systems.
Oversee database and application hosting environments.
Maintain infrastructure documentation and configuration records.
Implement infrastructure security controls and best practices.
Manage endpoint security, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and vulnerability management.
Conduct infrastructure risk assessments and support compliance audits.
Ensure compliance with ICT security policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Test business continuity and disaster recovery plans regularly.
Manage cloud infrastructure and hybrid technology environments.
Monitor cloud performance, utilization, and costs.
Coordinate ICT infrastructure procurement activities.
Manage relationships with ICT vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Monitor service-level agreements and vendor performance.
Lead infrastructure implementation and upgrade projects.
Participate in digital transformation initiatives.
Prepare project plans, budgets, and progress reports.
Supervise ICT
Officers responsible for infrastructure management.
Recommend technology modernization and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of 9 years' relevant work experience, including 3 years served at the level of Senior ICT Officer in the public or private sector.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Professional certifications such as:
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
VMware VCP
ITIL
AWS Certification
Microsoft Azure Certification
Google Cloud Certification
Management course lasting at least four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration.
Experience with desktop support, hardware, software, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
Knowledge of ICT infrastructure management and enterprise system administration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage projects, vendors, and service providers effectively.
Experience supporting business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
Understanding of cybersecurity controls and infrastructure security best practices.
