We are looking for an energetic, problem solver, change agent and motivated Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator that ensure, quality data collection, analysis and use at the regional level under Non-communicable disease department, HHA (Health Heart Africa) project.

The ideal candidates have matured experience on monitoring, evaluation and Learning (MEL) and are familiar with any evidence used for decision-making approach; proactive and energetic, the MEL Coordinator will work very closely with health facilities, ministry of health and government offices to build their capacity on MEL and ensure data are used to continuously and improve performances.

Key Result Areas:

  • Data and insight quality (e.g., compliance with data quality audits, DQA score)
  • Adoption and utilization of MEL (e.g., health facilities performance and data use)
  • MEL support and capacity building (e.g.,
  • Number of support and supervision visits)

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carryout, all regular programmatic data collection, data cleaning, data compilation, and data submission to the Sr. NCD Project Manager and Sr.
    M&E Manager at Head Office;
  • Ensure timely submission of data by PSI/E HHA regional staffs following national guidelines;
  • Support the deployment and correct utilization of innovative electronic data capture systems and protocols such as DHIS2;
  • Collect, compile and analyze event activity reports conducted in the project’s supported towns and facilities.
  • Lead all programmatic data archiving and filing for PSI/E at the Head Office level;
  • Provide training, capacity building and technical support to PSI/E HHA Project Coordinators, health facility NCD focal persons & HCPs, town health office NCD focal persons / regional NCD focal persons and other partners;
  • Support PSI/E regional staffs, regional health bureau/town health office structures with joint supportive supervision of data collection and data compilation activities;
  • Support the planning and execution of joint supportive supervision and data quality audits;
  • Support the regional/corridor work plan development and monitoring activities;
  • Provide PSI/E’s regional staff with routine data analysis and feedback;
  • Ensure timely submission of data by PSI/E HHA Project Coordinators and health facility NCD focal persons;
  • Regularly conduct data quality assurance in HHA supported facilities and document the findings of DQA and follow up the progress based on the feedback.
  • Regularly update data on PSI DHISD2 system, share analysis and dashboard with program staffs in consultation with MIS unit.
  • Lead the program performance quarter and annual review meetings, liaise with government officials for annual program evaluation.
  • Perform any other related activities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Coordinate with program teams to review indicator updates every month. Generate reports using different data visualizations (tables/graphs/reports) from the databases at regular intervals, ensuring reports/information are available for program implementation staff as required.

    Job Requirements


  • BSc/BA in Public Health, health informatics, Statistics, or related field
  • 4 years of experience in relevant work experience supporting MEL system of Public Health facilities
